2/13 – My first husband, director Bud Lee, is in the hospital after having a heart attack. This is his third one. He got three stents put in. Bud and I have always, ALWAYS been so close. I am just shattered right now. My kids call him Grampa Bud. He sounded so weak on the phone… ugh… PLEASE think good thoughts for him, I would be so lost without him!!!

UPDATE – Bud is out of the hospital and back home now to recover! YAY!!!! Thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts!!

I found this site meshuge.com and it’s dated January 25, 2010. They quote the LA Times article. So meshuge.com recently posted the LA Times article about this summer’s HIV scare and thisis50.ning.com picked up on it. But no where on the LA Times & meshuge.com articles does it say Carmella Bing and Naomi Russell have HIV. The picture thisis50 use is of Naomi but the paragraph they printed doesn’t mention either woman. Did thisis50.ning.com just pick a random porn star picture and threw Carmella’s name into it too??

I couldn’t find an email at thisis50 but I left this comment:

“Where did you get the names Naomi Russel & Carmella Bing? They don’t have HIV or AIDS! How dare you print that! One woman was infected this summer but her name wasn’t released. The adult industry knows who she is but it’s certainly not Naomi Russel & Carmella Bing. You quoted a paragraph from the LA Times dated June 2009 but they never mentioned anyone’s names. The only source I can find that seemed to have started this rumor is you. You didn’t link to any source either. You picked Naomi’s picture to run and decided to throw Carmella’s name into it to?? Do you know the damage you’ve caused and how this story has now gone global and the lives & careers this could ruin?? I tried finding an email address to write you but couldn’t find one. Where did you get their names??”

My guess is the rumor started at thisis50.ning.com because many of the websites that also ran this story linked back to them. I don’t know if whoever started this knows both Carmella and Naomi and something happened between them for this to happen. I’ve been told they’re both retired and Naomi has been for a couple of years.

I assume this is Carmella’s Twitter page because her page is set to private. I’ve put in a friend request but she still hasn’t accepted. I’ve emailed naomirussellxxx.com but no one has emailed me back. I don’t know if Naomi herself runs the website. But I would think whoever gets the email would have notified Naomi by now about this news.

LATATA is trying to convince everybody in the industry that they are looking out for the best interest of the performers. They have even gone so far as to hold a fundraiser and gave half the money to AIM. They have even made public statements showing support for AIM, and in return AIM has placed signs inside their facilities that read “Is your agent licensed”

But all the public statements don’t jive with their actions. Their support for AIM is a front for the future union plans. They plan on making a talent union, and the union is going to attempt to “take over” AIM, and replace the Board of Directors with their own hand picked people. All of this in the name of protecting performers health, and making the industry more ‘legitimate.”

Which leads us to the Shy Love Agency and why they quit the LATATA organization. A few months ago Shy herself was booked for a scene with a male performer from LA Direct. Shy, being concerned for her own health, asked that the male performer get a more current test. The male performers test was still within the 30 day ‘industry standard’ but Shy wanted a more recent test. Not an unreasonable request, as many performers, like Belladonna for example, routinely demand a more current test. One would think that an agency that so publicly states their support for talent health care would have no problem honoring this simple request. But this is LA Direct, and Derek Hay we are talking about here. The request was denied. Shy knew then that all the talk about supporting the talent, and doing what is right for the performers was a bunch of hot air. And despite the heavy handed attempts to ‘change’ her mind, Shy had the guts to stick to her personal standards and not be bullied into accepting a situation that she felt put her personal health at risk. And despite all the public proclamations from Derek and LA Direct, it is obvious that the health of performers is of no concern to them.

Everything LATATA is attempting to do is to get more money from the performers. The union will include “union dues”, payable to the union Board of Directors (Derek, Joel etc.) AIM is still in denial about the long term plans of LATATA to take them over, but I believe Mitch will come to her senses soon enough, and see what Brooke and Derek have been up to. The fact that neither Mitch, Nina, or Ira ever spend any time at AIM is what LATATA is counting on to achieve their goals. They are going to use this in their upcoming public campaign to over throw the AIM board of directors.
